Lindsay Lohan Hairstyle: Curls

Following the trend seen by other celebs, Lindsay goes curly in this picture. Since stick straight is not yet back in, you can get these sexy curls by winding hair around a curling iron barrel. Make sure to use a holding spray to keep curls in place.

Long, swideswept bangs are hot. They are especially great for long faces. Ask your stylist to create long layers & work the bangs in. When you style, get that beach look by using saltwater spray. John Frieda makes a great saltwater spray.

Marcia Cross Hairstyle: Wavy

Every year, TV stars walk the red carpet and every year we get to ooh and ahh at the dresses, the makeup and the hair. We also get a big laugh out of the blunders. This year was no different. Here, I rundown the best and worst hair from this year's Emmy Awards. Perhaps the biggest celeb standout from this year's awards was Marcia Cross. This housewife shied away from the bronzer and showed off her newly long auburn locks. And does any redhead look bad in emerald green? Nope. (Just ask Julianne Moore).

Tip: Marcia picked out the perfect earrings to complete her look.

Halle Berry Hairstyle: Ponytail

When doesn't Halle Berry get the hair thing and the clothes thing just right? This year was no exception (although some of our colleagues in the media claimed Berry's hair resembled a horse's tail. Shame on them). We love the slick front and the low ponytail in all its simplicity. The best stylists know hair and makeup should work with -- not against -- the celebrity's dress and Berry's whole look is spot on.

Eva Longoria Hairstyle: Up do

Eva Longoria goes wavy & up. Eva Longoria at the Emmy Awards. Forget the stodgy updos formerly seen on the red carpet. These days it's all about gorgeous waves like Eva's here. We love the way her hair doesn't look formal, but is still an updo. Her celebrity rises and this year she looked divine on the red carpet, with just the perfect sort of updo for such a fine event. What's more, Longoria doesn't have to resort to loud colors, highlights or hairstyles to grab our attention. One gets the feeling that the chestnut brown you see here might just be natural....naaaaahhhhh.

Tip: Eva picked out the perfect earrings and gold bangle bracelets to complete her look. Click here to view SALES page

Kyra Sedgwick Hairstyle: 1940s

Did Kyra Se
dgwick step out of '40s calendar & onto the red carpet? We do love her perfectly coiffed 'do and wonder (even though we are in the beauty industry) how one got hair like this in the '40s and how one gets hair like this today. For some reason we pictured the use of coke cans, but we can't imagine that is still in use today. Or is it?

Tip: Kyra picked out the perfect earrings to complete her look.

Jane Alexander Hairstyle: Gray hair

Yes, we don't know who she is either, but isn't her hair absolutely D-I-V-I-N-E? Jane Alexander has the kind of hairdo we hope more older women embrace. It's classic. The perfect color and a terrific length. Here's hoping people print out this baby and take it with them to their stylist. We'll see you on the streets....

Tip: Jane picked out the perfect earrings to complete her look.

Teri Hatcher Hairstyle: Wavy

Teri Hatcher at the Golden Globe Awards. Teri Hatcher let go of the short hair she had in the 90s. The secret to looking young after 40? Grow out your hair. Bobs are out. So are short-short cuts. Both make you look older than you are. And since 40 is the new 30, grow your hair long!

  Ashlee Simpson's Hairstyle - Braids

Jessica's lil' sis, Ashlee Simpson, has taken on 2 of Jessica's trends: Blonde & braids. Jessica's assistant, CaCee Cobb, has braided her hair over the summer & it looks like the formerly brunette Ashlee took up the trend. You can get this look by French braiding your hair (if you remember how).

  Jennifer Lopez'sHairstyle - Bob

Jennifer Lopez (don't call her J.Lo, she says!) shows off a mature bob in this photo -- a nice improvement on some of the hideous updos she's been known to take to the red carpet with. To get this look, use a flatiron & straightening balm.

  Charlize Theron's Hairstyle

Now this is a 'do. Curled & spritzed, this look took Charlize Theron's stylist some time, trust us. But we like the end result.

  Nicole Ritchie's Hairstyle

We all know Nicole gotten sickly thin, but her hair's never looked better. We love her new grown-up look, which you can get too with the perfect highlights, some volumizing spray & a great (fake!) tan. She went from frumpy to fab the last couple years & in this photo Nicole Ritchie looks her most mature. To get this look you'll need to blowdry hair straight, flat-iron & then spritz with a gloss.

  Jessica Simpson's Hairstyle - Waves

Hardly anyone wears waves like Jessica Simpson. My bet is because she loves her extensions. It's hard to tell if she has them in here, but I'd guess..... yes. There's nothing hotter right now than waves, & Jessica Simpson's hair in this picture from the 'Dukes of Hazzard' is pretty easy to get -- provided you have long, long hair. (Keep in mind that Simpson's hair here, is not real, these are extensions).

How to Get Jessica Simpson's Hair:

Step 1: Apply volumizing tonic to roots. I like Bumble & Bumble or you can try Aveda volumizing tonic .
Step 2: Blow dry hair until it's slightly damp. Blowdrying tip: Hold dryer above your head & train air downward so it flows from roots to ends. This way hair won't look dull & will be easier to manage.
Step 3: Scrunch hair with fingers.
Step 4: Spray in saltwater spray. I like John Frieda Beach Blonde Ocean Waves Sea spray .
Step 5: Let hair air dry (keep scrunching until it's totally dry)
Voila! Now you have Jessica Simpson's 'By the Sea' look! Click here to view SALES page
